CellPAD is a GPRS Communication device used for financial transaction switching services. The CellPAD is designed for corporate and retail use to improve communication, by providing greater coverage, efficiency and reliability when facilitating debit and credit card payments. Typical applications include services involving pre-paid airtime, 3rd party account payments, pre-paid electricity etc.

Datalinx decided to launch this SPECIAL using the tried and tested Single Network CellPAD to allow Small To Medium Sized Merchants a Low Cost, Effective and Easy-to-use communications solution. This Low Cost solution is totally independent of your current Telkom shared infrastructure. No line sharing of the phone, facsimile machine and POS terminal……your clients no longer have to wait for a phone call or facsimile to finish before you can process their Debit or Credit card transaction.

Datalinx, who have been at the forefront of wireless data transfer, have enhanced the existing reliability of their flagship product, the CellPAD, and incorporated network switching capability to its artillery.

Aesthetically, the CellPAD remains unchanged. But the redeveloped hardware, additional sim card and enhanced software allows the CellPAD to intelligently detect a loss of network connectivity and switch to the alternate one.

Both networks are tested upon installation to ensure optimum signal is attained for both networks in the event of switching.
